Prom Dress Extravaganza

Prom is an important, but expensive, event for high schoolers.

That’s why on Saturday, April 1 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., and then 2:00-5:00 p.m., we will be hosting a Prom Dress giveaway to provide free dresses to our Elmwood Park teens.* We have a nice selection of dresses, but will gladly keep accepting gently used donations through the end of March.

*Dresses are first-come first-served. Limited to one per person. Space to try on dresses will be available. There may not be something available for every girl who comes in. Any needed cleaning or repairs of the dresses will be the responsibility of the person taking the dress.

Collection:  Graphic Novels

Do your students like comics?  We do!  They are more than just picture books...  Graphic novels are a great way to grab reluctant readers and get them interested in reading, without them feeling like it. Graphic novels can tell great stories, introducing vocabulary, character development, and more, serving as a great transitional tool into regular books.

And they're just plain fun!

We've got graphic novels for kids...

For teens...

As well as an adult collection for mature teens to peruse.

So stop by and grab some for your classroom, or send interested students in and we'll help them find the perfect book to dive into!
