Story Times

Book Talking

We love talking about books.  We believe everyone has the potential to be a reader if you find just the right book.

We would love to come to your class or library and bring a load of books to talk about, and even let the kids check them out (as long as they own a valid library card).  We like to talk about new books and our favorites, but we can promote a selection of books on any theme you’d like.

Special Needs Programs

We are proud to offer customized story times for several of our local special needs schools in the Elmwood Park area. We are excited to provide this service and invite other special needs school groups to contact us to set up their own personalized program.

MidKids Advisory Council (MAC) is a group of pre-teens in grades 4-6 who volunteer their time and service to the library and the community. This group of pre-teens plays a special role in our tween activities by giving their input on programming as well as what books or movies the library should order. MAC meets once a month during the school year and are always looking for new members. Drop in on one of the meetings for more information and discover what you can do for your library.
