October 9-15, 2016 is Teen Read Week.
Teen Read Week is a national literacy initiative created by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). It began in 1998 and is held annually during October with the purpose of encouraging teens to be regular readers and library users.
This year's theme is Read for the fun of it! and there will be a bulletin board for you to share titles that you are currently reading or have enjoyed in the past.
During Teen Read Week we challenge teens to check-out and read a book or graphic novel to be entered into a raffle for a McDonald's gift card.
Need some book ideas? Click on one of the suggested titles below to get more details, visit our What to Read page, or stop by Kids & Teens to pick up one of our new bookmarks with suggesting reading.
