Our Mission and Vision

Explore. Connect. Create.

A place where life, work, and play unite!

What does it mean for the Library to be a place where life, work, and play unite?

family reading borderThe Library supports individuals and families as they grow and navigate through life.

A young child plays at the puppet theater, bringing stories she hears to life. A six-year-old checks out his first book as he begins the rewarding journey of learning to read. An elementary school group creates sculptures on the 3D printer, blending creativity, engineering, and technology. Teenagers volunteer and gain valuable work experience as they transition to adulthood. An adult attends a program and learns new art skills that he never had time to develop before. A job seeker uses our public computers to identify the next step on her career path. Someone likes us on Facebook and shares a favorite “DIY,” or do-it-yourself, activity we host with their family and friends. A few individuals with shared passions come together using one of our meeting rooms and begin a community group with a mission to better the village they call home.

In other words, we are a solid foundation for people of all ages to connect with their neighbors, explore worlds of fact and fiction, and gain the skills and knowledge to create their own personal corner of the universe.
