The Elmwood Park Public Library, along with 99 other libraries, share use of the SWAN Catalog, allowing all of these libraries to share books and other materials. This means that if our copy is checked out, or maybe we just don't own what you're looking for, we can usually get it from one of the other 99 libraries in SWAN.
As of October 19, 2021, the SWAN Catalog has been upgraded, making finding what you want easier than ever! We are very excited about the improvements this brings to your experience using the Library.
Changes include:
- Easy options for limiting your search
- Smart suggestions
- More relevant results
- Item availability at a glance
- Grouped items (see screenshot of The Midnight Library for an example) - All the different formats (book, movie, audiobook, etc.) of a title will now be grouped together so you won't have to scroll as much to find what you're looking for.
