Copy/Print Cards - No longer in use.

As of April of 2021, we are in the process of upgrading our printing software, and are no longer using copy/print cards.  Once we complete this project on May 10, BOTH printing from a computer and using the copier will have the capability to be paid for using either:

  • Coin/cash box - insert nickels, dimes, quarters, $1 or $5 bills
  • Funds attached to your library card - add money to your library card account either at the print station or at the Circulation Desk

With this new option option of adding usable funds to your library card, our traditional copy/print cards are now obsolete.  But don't worry, if you still have a copy/print card with money on it, you can trade it in at the Circulation Desk to have the funds transferred from the copy/print card to your library card account.

Printing Options & Costs

The printing process differs depending on what program you are using but once you have told that program to print your document you will be asked to choose a printer.  Our system should default to the whichever floor you are on (1st or 2nd), but click the drop-down menu (and choose the option "See more..." if needed) to see all of the options.  Then you can choose to:

  • Print to 1st or 2nd Floor BW  (black and white - $0.10 per page)
  • Print to 1st or 2nd Floor BW 2-Sided (prints on both sides of paper, black and white - $0.10 per side of page)
  • Print to 1st or 2nd Floor Color (color - $0.25 per page)
  • Print to 1st or 2nd Floor Color 2-Sided (prints on both sides of paper, color - $0.25 per side of page)
  • PDFs - Save your document into a .pdf file by choosing whichever options mention PDF.  (Free)

Once you have selected black and white or color a dialog box will appear asking you to supply your initials or some other way to later identify and retrieve your print job.

 Enter Name or Initials Screen2

After you have input your initials and clicked "OK" a confirmation will appear with the total pages and total price of the job.  Click OK to accept and the job will be sent to the Print Station where it will wait for you to pay and release your job to the actual printer.  To save yourself time, you may print multiple jobs to the Print Station using the same ID before you pay and release.

The Print Station is a touch screen, so simply tap the printer icon on the screen and insert your print card into the box to get started.

Tap the screen to start

Use the on-screen keyboard to re-enter the same initials or identifier you used at the computer you printed from to view your list of waiting print jobs.

Use the Onscreen keyboard and the tap 'OK'

You will then see a list of your jobs, how many pages they are, and how much they will cost.  You can select multiple jobs or individual jobs, delete or preview.  When you've made your selection, tap the Print button in the upper left.

Select your Print Jobs

You will be presented with the total price for all print jobs and then simply tap 'Pay From Vending Device' to deduct the money from your card and release your jobs to the printer.

Pay from vending device.

Money will be deducted from your print card, your card will be ejected for you to take back and your job will be sent to the printer.

We recommend not closing your document/webpage or logging out until your print job has actually printed.  That way, if there are problems, we can easily try again.

Send a Print Job from Your Own Device for Curbside Pickup at the Library

We know many people rely on being able to come to the Library to print out forms, articles, recipes, pictures, and more. We are excited to announce that we will now offer wireless printing for pickup via our Curbside Holds Pickup Service!

EPPL cardholders can now send their print jobs through email or through the wireless printing link on our website.  Library staff will print your pages and contact you when they are ready for Curbside Pickup. (Please note the process may take 24-48 hours. Also, this does not include making copies or scanning, since we will not be exchanging physical items at this time.) Print jobs will be discarded after 30 days.

The best part is that the Library board has temporarily lifted printing fees for EPPL cardholders who use this service to print up to 20 pages per week for free! After 20 pages, the cost will be applied to your library card with the usual fees of $0.10 per page for black and white, and $0.25 per page for color.
