We have three copiers available for public use:
- Adult Services
- 1 Color / Black & White copier
- 1 Black & White only copier
- Kids & Teens
- 1 Color / Black & White copier in Kids & Teens
Copies cost:
- $0.10 a page for black and white

Print Station for the Color Copiers
We recently upgraded our Print Station, so copy cards are now obsolete (see below for more information). You now pay for both copies and print jobs with either:
- Coin/cash box - insert nickels, dimes, quarters, $1 or $5 bills
- Funds attached to your library card - add money to your library card account either at the print station or at the Circulation Desk
Whether using the photocopier to make copies, or printing a job from our computer or your own device, you now need to use the Print Release Station. The video below has more instructions, and is divided into 5 chapters:
- Adding money to your library account
- Paying for a print job with your library account
- Paying for a print job with the cash/coin box
- Paying for a photocopy with your library account
- Paying for a photocopy with the cash/coin box
Please let us know if you need any assistance and we'll be happy to walk you through it! Click here for more information on printing from our computers or your own device.
Making copies
When making a photocopy, you can either:
- Life the lid and place your original on the glass in the upper left hand corner by the arrow. -OR-
- Place your originals face up in the document feeder on the top of the lid. This option is best if you have multiple pages to copy.
Then press one of the large buttons on the right side of the button panel (B/W for black and white, or Color for color) to start copying.
Setting options
You can adjust many settings on the copier including:
- No. of copies - Tell the copier to make multiple copies.
- 2-Sided Copy - Make double-sided copies from either single-sided or double-sided originals.
- Paper Select - By default it will use 8.5x11 standard letter size paper. You can change it to 8.5x14 legal size, or 11x17 ledger size (this option charges you double).
- Copy Ratio - Change the size of what you are copying to make it bigger or smaller on the resulting copy.
- Others - This button brings up a screen with several more options, including, but not limited to:
-
- Card Shot - This allows you to take a card, such as your driver's license, and photocopy both sides onto the same side of the paper.
- Several color and quality adjustments: Color Balance, Brightness, Intensity, etc.
If you ever just want to start over, you can hit the button CA, which stands for Clear All, and will reset all the options back to the default.
Copy/Print Cards - No longer in use!
As of May 2021, we have upgraded our printing software, and are no longer selling copy/print cards, and they are no longer used with the color copiers (though they are still usable on our 1 black & white only copier in Adult Services).
But don't worry, if you still have a copy/print card with money on it, you can trade it in at the Circulation Desk to have the funds transferred from the copy/print card to your library card account.
Scanning
Don't want to spend money on faxing? You can use our copier machines to scan documents to email or USB drives for free!
To make use of scanning, you do NOT need to use Print Release Station. Instead, press the Home button on the copier panel. This will bring up a screen with the option to either:
- Scan to email address
-OR- - USB Scan and print
Press the option you prefer to use.
Scan to email address
Use this feature to scan documents directly to email.
- Enter the email address in the space where it says "Touch to input address." A keyboard will pop up for you to enter one or more email addresses. In addition to whomever you are sending documents to, we recommend sending your scans to your own email address, so that you have a copy.
- It is always a good idea for your email to have a subject line. Tap in the empty space next to Subject, and when the keyboard pops up, enter in a brief description of what you're sending.
- If you want to give the documents you're scanning to have a specific file name, then tap in that space and type in the name you want to give the file. Otherwise the copier will just assign a random name to the file that will a string of numbers and letters.
- The copier will default to scanning your document as a PDF, but you can tap on File Format to change it to a picture format or something else.
- Once you have taken care of the above items, you are ready to scan:
- If you have a single page, you can life the lid and place your item on the glass
- If you have multiple pages, you can place your documents face up in the document feeder on top of the lid. If they are double-sided, then tap on the Original button, and choose the option that lets the copier know your document is double-sided.
- When ready, press Start.
- If using the glass, once it has scanned a message will pop up. If you are done, hit Read-End and it will complete the scan. If you have more pages to scan into the same document, then replace what's on the glass, and hit Start again. Repeat this process until you are done, then hit Read-End.
- If using the document feeder, hitting Start will both start and finish the scan.
- You will see a quick message at the top that it is processing, and then the scanning and email sending are complete.
USB Scan and print
Use this feature to scan directly to a USB flash drive.
- Insert your USB into the USB port on the control panel
- Press "Scan to external memory device"
- If you want to give the documents you're scanning to have a specific file name, then tap in the File Name space and type in the name you want to give the file. Otherwise the copier will just assign a random name to the file that will a string of numbers and letters.
- The copier will default to scanning your document as a PDF, but you can tap on File Format to change it to a picture format or something else.

- When done, don't forget your USB drive and the items you were scanning.
Please note: Unfortunately you cannot print anything off of your USB drive, only scan to it.
