About the Senior Advocate Programseniors3

The purpose of the Senior Advocate Program is to connect seniors with community services available to them.

Laura Bilben, Elmwood Park's Senior Advocate, is here for every senior that lives in the village that need helps with finding any information, including health and senior resources, local fitness options, volunteer opportunities, education, and other social activities.

The program is also available to family members of seniors and care givers.

Laura has drop-in office hours on Mondays from 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Her office is located at Elmwood Park Village Hall (11 Conti Parkway).

  • Free tax preparation is available from February through the beginning of April. Offered through Triton's RSVP Program 708.456.0300 ext. 3895.

  • Free Blood Pressure Testing is available upon request through the Elmwood Park Fire Station

  • SHIP: the Senior Health Insurance Program is offered to assist senior citizens with problems and questions concerning Medicare, Medicare Supplement Insurance, appealing claim denials, and Medicare Part D coverage
