1book 1community march2019 revised 400wJanuary 23 - March 13, 2020

Welcome to our second annual 1 Book 1 Community reading event, where we hope to bring the community together by reading and discussing books all centered around a theme, with 1 Book being the unifying focus. The largest aspect of this initiative will take place in the schools, with students reading the spotlighted book or other relevant material in the classroom, and discussing important aspects of what they've read.

This year's theme is "Power of Yet," and the featured book is Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt.  This year's book is a great example of how if we treat ourselves and each other with confidence and kindness, the world is full of possibilities.

We also have a couple of additional recommended books that fit into this year's theme: Lexi Magill and the Teleportation Tournament by Kim Long, Red: A Crayon's Story by Michael Hall, and The Bad Seed by Jory John.
