September is Library Card Sign-up Month!

2023 librarycardsignupmonth

Get In Your Element by renewing or getting a new card this month. Our new card was designed by one of our own Elmwood Park Public Library patrons, Giulianna S! Giulianna’s design was chosen by the public in our 2023 Library Card Design Contest so we are very excited to showcase the creative work of a member of our community. Library cards with the new design are available now at the Circulation desk!

If you renew your Elmwood Park Public Library card or get a new card in the month of September, you will be entered into a raffle for 1 Chicago CityPass! This pass grants you access to 5 of Chicago’s best attractions, including the Shedd Aquarium and Skydeck Chicago! You also have a choice of 3 of the following sites: Field Museum, Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Science and Industry, 360 Chicago Observation Desk, Adler Planetarium, or Shoreline Sightseeing Architecture River Tour.

The winners will receive a pass based on their library card type. The winning Adult cardholder will receive 1 adult pass. The winning Juvenile cardholder will receive 1 child pass. The winners will be selected early October. The winner must pick up the pass within 3 days of being contacted or risk forfeiting the prize.

The passes will be purchased early October and you will have one year from that date to use it. After you visit your first attraction, the pass is valid for 9 consecutive days. Please adhere to the timeframe.

The raffle is open to Elmwood Park residents only. Elmwood Park Public Library reserves the right to refuse to issue a library card to patrons who do not meet the identification requirements and/or those who have delinquent accounts. Visit the Circulation desk for more information.

Renewed last year? Don’t need a new card? Ask Circulation staff for another way to enter this awesome raffle!
